It is the last stop of civilization before entering the harsh world of the Tahari. Here you will find people from The plains, Torvaldsland, The Vosk Delta, Ar, Port Kar, and, of course, in their burnoose the men of the desert on their sand kaiila.
The Bey of Tor is Lucian.
The Great Hall of TOR, 200 paces north to south and 150 paces west to east, is a four-story high Palace, eastern in design. To the north is the Bey's bedroom and to the center is the Dais and high backed chair of the Bey. To the east is the kitchen and coolery, where fine wines, ales and all the foods are prepared.
Cushions and low tables are scattered about the room, making soft comfortable areas to sit and enjoy friendly conversation. To the south end is the spar and dance sands, the whipping post beside it, while the main fire is centrally located. The second floor is primarily a balcony with large stained glass windows, and six crossbow emplacements around the room overlooking the Great Hall. On the third floor are the living compartments of the Free. The fourth floor is the palace library.
